I love this dress because it reminds me of a print my great grandmother used to wear. I know this isn’t something you want to think about when you’re choosing a dress for a first date with a couple as part of a threesome but it made me feel comfortable in a strange way.
When I unboxed it from my weekly Gwynnie Bee closet haul I thought it would be a bit of a ’round the house’ dress but as soon as I whacked on some lippy and a pair of heels it became a great weekend dress!
I wore it to Santa Monica for date #13 to meet the couple. It turned out on the male half of the couple showed up. You’ll have to read the full blog post to get the whole story. I will say that I was glad I didn’t have to haul my booty up on a high bar stool otherwise the short length might have been a problem. I ended up on a high benched booth so it was fine.It dress was perfect for a Sunday evening sipping coconut margaritas on the 3rd street prominade.
Here’s the fashion details of the frock. It’s a faux-wrap dress with v-neck and three-quarter sleeves. It’s a stretch-knit fabric, elastic stretch-waist, concealed back zip, and allover geo print. I love the vintage feel and the lovely colors. Want to see more of my looks? See ALL of my Gywnnie Bee looks from my monthly subscription and get yourself a 30 day free trial.
So, was this a solid first date dress? Yup! It can also be dressed down with a denim jacket, leggings and flats.
